My name is Gene, and I am a dream weaver. I was born in Munich, but I have also Spanish blood on my mother's side. I spend seasons in Germany and Spain. I started out with Photoshop about 13 years ago, at first only for distraction but it rapidly became an addiction, to the point that I spent hours on it, even forgetting to eat! I'm an observer by nature, I love looking at the sky, space, and long distances. I am always in the clouds! When I create my dreamscapes, I am used to abstracting myself from reality. It is my window to other worlds of magic and surreal fantasy, between the fusion of emotional feelings and dreams. All my creations are related to other universes or parallel realities. 

My main goal is to give inspiration to others with my arts, and also helping artists to grow, getting them exposure through my features, my groups, DDs suggestions, I am always willing to help by nature. When I first joined DA 7 years ago with my photo account, I had no idea what to expect. A year later, I created my art account and boom! As soon as I joined this awesome artist community, it became my home. I started straight away to grow in parallel with my inspiration! Ja! DA is my home and a big part of my life.

Ellysiumn’s gallery is literally the stuff dreams are made of so it’s not surprising to learn that many refer to him as a “dream weaver.” His imagination knows no bounds and he welcomes us into the fantastical worlds that he creates with open arms. However, it is far more than his creativity that attracts visitors to his page time and again -- it is the person himself that is the magnetic pull. Ellysiumn spends a great deal of his time promoting and supporting the work of other DeviantArt artists far more than he promotes himself. He is a kind and generous soul that has clearly made DeviantArt his home. We are honoured to be part of his online family and elated to be awarding Deviousness for August 2018 to Ellysiumn.

He has shown immense compassion for others here and encouraged so many along the way including myself by featuring artists of all levels in his watcher's features as well as other more skilled artists in his individual features. By doing this he is, therefore, creating something for everyone to experience and enjoy and encouraging others who might not get featured as they are beginners. This is something he continues to do as often as he can be here. Welcoming new artists, suggesting DD's, featured, posting encouraging comments all part of what he does always. Always helping others any way he can. He has never used a harsh word, always so very positive and encouraging and appreciating all that others do for him always. He is such an inspiration to the entire community by his courage and dedication to focus on the good things life has to offer and helping others along the way so that they too can experience the beauty that can be found in life and all the blessings it offers. Over the years, he has achieved his incredible skills through thousands of hours practicing and teaching himself through any means where he could learn. Music plays a huge part in his life as it helps clear his mind and inspire him while he is creating his work. His art is filled with Dreams ( his way to step aside from his reality as he puts it.) his hope is that by creating these dreamscapes, others will find peace and healing and if only for a short while an uplifting feeling of calmness and joy. I have always said to him "Raz you live in the clouds and the heavens, you live in your dreams" and refer to him as " my little dream weaver" as he does get some of his inspiration from his dreams. So when I see a new one posted, I think he has weaved another and it is so beautiful always. The immense amount of features, awards, followers, faves, comments on his arts, show how very much he is admired here and for good reason. This type of following does not happen by accident. He has earned it and I am so very proud to congratulate him on this honor and to wish him continued success always. Congratulations my grandson. Much love to you from your grandma

Gene was born inspired, is like a muse. I do not know anyone like him, being hours and hours working on his arts, challenging himself to create daily and always willing to help others. He always says that his window to a parallel world is always there but I believe that his window to that world is DeviantArt. It is a pleasure to be inspired and immersed in his awesome worlds. He just rests and we have to scold him and force him to rest between one work and another. Impressive its capacity of creation but above all, of being a weaver of dreams. Elysiumn’s artwork exists in a world that resembles our own, except for the Outstanding creative mix of, science fiction, Magical realism and fantasy in a way which cannot be explained by the understanding of our own reality, I call it "Deviant Art". If I had to describe Ellysiumn’s work and presence on DeviantArt in one single word, it would be "uplifting’". From a purely artistic point of view, no other word describes his surreal, unique and dreamlike digital work; have you never dreamt of that fantasy of lost worlds and unique landscapes scenes?
